Sales and Marketing Officer

Job Purpose:

To develop and execute strategies to increase company sales and profits and identify profitable business opportunities, secure sound business deals, and lead sales and marketing activities and campaigns.  The Sales and Marketing Officer’s responsibilities include generating unique sales plans, creating engaging advertisements, emails, and promotional literature, developing pricing strategies, and meeting marketing and sales human resource objectives. The Sales and Marketing Officer represents the company's brand and drives strategies to increase product awareness by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead in short term and long-term planning and execution of business growth and development in coordination with the management through sales and marketing campaigns and strategies.   
  • Ensure proper planning, execution, review and evaluation of key performance indicators on sales and marketing is completed.  
  • Plan and manage business portfolio according to an agreed sales and marketing development strategy 
  • Strategize in identifying potential clients and lead conversion 
  • Review and monitor business growth and identify areas for development and expansion in coordination with the business development officer. 
  • Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits
  • Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintains the growing customer base, consumer and business relationships through internal and external marketing programs. Develop and grow business and customer relationships.
  • Assist in addressing customer service-related concerns and issues, when needed. 
  • Maintain good public relations with customers and the community.
  • Plan and manage sales and marketing plan. 
  • Identify existing client and maintain client support.
  • Strategize in identifying potential clients and lead conversion.
  • Conduct sales and marketing campaign through various platforms. 
  • Regularly conduct field visits to potential clients’ premises
  • Maintain tracker for leads and potential clients 
  • Ensure all existing advertisement requirements are aligned in the tracker
  • Submit reports on leads and potential clients, sales and marketing conducted and ads reports 
  • Attend events on behalf of the company, if required.
  • Work on other related tasks, when required. 
  • Plan, prioritize and conduct sales and marketing activities and campaigns 
  • Identify existing clients and maintain client support
  • Regularly conduct field visits to potential clients’ premises
  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) including tracking for leads and potential clients 
  • Ensure all existing sales, marketing and advertisement requirements are aligned in the CRM Submit
  • Submit reports on leads and potential clients, sales and marketing conducted and ads reports to the management


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing roles.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
