TESDA Heavy Equipment Operator Trainer

As a TESDA Heavy Equipment Operator Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training to students in accordance with TESDA's curriculum standards. You will provide both classroom instruction and hands-on training, ensuring that students are well-prepared to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery: Conduct theoretical and practical training sessions covering the TESDA Heavy Equipment Operation curriculum, including the safe operation of machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in developing and updating training materials to ensure alignment with TESDA standards and current industry practices.
  • Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress through practical exercises, written exams, and other assessment tools to ensure competency in heavy equipment operation.
  • Safety Instruction: Emphasize the importance of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring students are trained to operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Instruct students on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to extend the lifespan of machinery and prevent accidents.
  • Compliance: Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with TESDA guidelines and industry safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, TESDA regulations, and advances in heavy equipment technology to continuously enhance the training program.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, assessments, and certification status.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational education in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
  • Certification: TESDA Heavy Equipment Operator Trainer Certificate is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy equipment operation, with 2 years of experience in training or teaching.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and cranes.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of TESDA competency standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices for heavy equipment operation.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • License: Valid professional license for heavy equipment operation.
